syslog-ng for Slackware 15 slackbuild

Hello

I was thinking a Slackware upgrade would be a good time to upgrade syslog as well, to replace it with syslog-ng.

There's a slackbuild for it but it's for 14.2 and it won't build on Slackware 15. Some error about a json header file missing.

Does anyone have a clue when the people running slackbuilds.org might update it? Slackware 15 isn't even in the list in the web interface.

Slackbuilds.org is still in the process of getting scripts up to speed for 15.0.

In the meantime you can check here to see if the SlackBuild script you're looking for has been updated.

UPDATE: just checked it myself, and it looks like you may be in luck: syslog-ng has been updated in just the last two months.

Here it is. Ponce's github is laid out like slackbuilds.org so it would have the same path for whatever you want. So like go to system folder and CTRL+F to find syslog-ng folder.

Thanks! Built it with no trouble from a git clone.

@Mig21

You might want to try SBo's own git repo for the future.

Read post #207.
