swaret --update

When I type "swaret --update", it says: /bin/sh: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by /bin/sh). Do I have to download "GLIBC_2.3". I heard that it can cause some problems. If I do, where can I download it from? I tried typing it in freshmeat and sourcefourge but no match. Instead, they give me other packages that have glibc in them. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do I have to upgrade and recompile my kernel in order for this to work?

if you need to (manually) do your glibc and gcc, go to www.gnu.org and surf to the alphabetized listing of All Packages.
when you untar them READ the ReadMe's closely, or check out the faqs/forums here FIRST, if you've never compiled C before. it's an exact "science", and absolutely unforgiving.
