swaret thinks i have wrong version of program

aloha. so i mistakenly used the --install instead of the --upgrade option on my version of amarok. i ended up having to uninstall both the old and new version, then reinstall the old version again (which works fine). so when i run swaret --list amarok, i get the following:

Listing all available Packages...
amarok-1.4.10-i486-3 (13335 kB) [Status: NOT INSTALLED (Installed: amarok-1.92.2-i486-1)]
amarok-1.92.2-i486-1 (11783 kB) [Status: INSTALLED]

this is a falsity! 'about amarok' tells me that my installed version is in fact 1.4. how do i straighten this out? thank you for your time.

1.9 is for KDE 4.x. Looks like you are using Slackware -current (Amarok 1.4.9.1 is in Slackware 12.1), and mixing standard packages with testing packages.

If you want to use KDE 4, there is a script on the mirror under -current/testing/packages/kde4/ that will remove all of KDE 3 so you can cleanly upgrade to KDE 4.

Start with ditching that abortion known as swaret. If you want something that's quasi-official *and* supported, use slackpkg.
