did anyone get suspend 2 to work on the 2.6.17.13 kernel of 11.0-rc4?

ive installed slack 11.0-rc4 with the huge26.s kernel. installed the source and the .config of this kernel, rebuild to get smp and to get rid of tons of hardware drivers.

then i tried to put the suspend2 patch from here:
http://www.suspend2.net/downloads/all/
into the source.
first ive tried the suspend2-2.2.7.6-for-2.6.17 but compiling stoped with lots of errors.
then i tried various older versions but didnt even get them applied to the kernel.

does anyone know which version fits to this kernel or is there a workaround to avoid the errors ?

I also had problems patching the generic 2.6.17.13 (not the huge) kernel. Using the previous version solved the problem

(suspend2-2.2.7.5-for-2.6.17.tar.bz2)

compilation of the kernel worked
suspend works
but while resuming the machine hangs
caps lock led is going on, no errors in the logfiles, only my swap partition is unusable. have to do a mkswap.
any ideas what this means ?
