sounds-when closing web page

Hello can some one please tell me how to stop these annoying bleeps evertime i close a web page down or programme i looked in controll panel at sound and multimedia but cant see how to stop it any help please

What DE are you using? In gnome there is a setting for sound events. Desktop Preferences -> Sound
