Solution for 12/15 Steam Linux client games not loading

If you're having problems (Slackware 14.2, multilib, haven't tried current) with games not loading after the 12/15 Steam release, in /usr/bin/steam, comment out "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/seamonkey," and games should launch again.

If you're getting "data folder not found" on Unity games, that appears to be a different issue. Install the game to someplace not .local/share/Steam, and it should work again. I have no idea if it's related to the 12/15 release or not. With the holidays and a dying video card, I didn't use Steam in December.

Thanks, I'll try this if I move to Steam on my main box. Hoping that a few of my mainstays will work on Slack [e.g. Portal, L4D].
