smbmount timeout

hi,

i had always this "problem" ... i am trying to smbmount the shared directory, but the host is sometimes not reachable ...

i have my own script which pings host, and does smbmount only if the host is reachable ... if i use only smbmount or mount, it waits for timeout about 20 seconds.

is there any samba-way to limit this to 5 seconds?

thanx a lot

M.
