Thanks in advance
Done.... "aria2" and "curl" supported. Move slpkg.conf file in /etc/slpkg/ directory. "mv slpkg.conf.new slpkg.conf"

have you tried this instead:
Code:
file:///mnt/sdb1/Slackware/slackware-current/
note the 3 slashes after the colon
If you type the former address in a browser, it won't work either, the
latter works.

In Firefox file:///mnt/sdb1/Slackware/slackware-current/ worked!

root/home/ahlr # slpkg repo-add local file:///mnt/sdb1/Slackware/slackware-current/

Wrong type URL 'file:///mnt/sdb1/Slackware/slackware-current/'

Slpkg verify if URL starts with "http" or "ftp" but this change from next version.

Thanks.

Version 2.5.4 is out, Ι think worked with local repositories now.

Local repository added:
Code:
bash-4.2# slpkg repo-add local file://mnt/repo/slackware64-14.1/

Repository 'local' successfully added
But after slpkg update I got:

Code:
bash-4.2# slpkg update

Check and update repositories:

Update repository slack ...Done
Update repository sbo ...Done
Update repository local ...
Can't read file 'PACKAGES.TXT'

Can't read file 'ChangeLog.txt'

Can't read file 'CHECKSUMS.md5'
Done
I did not figure out why this happens.
And when I try "# slpkg -l local" I got nothing.

PS.: After I try '# slpkg repo-add local1 file:///mnt/repo/slackware64-14.1/' with 3 slashes after file it worked fine.

Try out add from browser like file:///mnt/repo/slackware64-14.1/

And the minimum file required PACKAGES.TXT in the folder.

wget only supports the HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP protocols. Please try curl and let me know if worked.
