slackware security...

just a quick question... since November 2004 there doesnt seem to be any input in the slackware security advisory... however on secunia.com you tend to find security issues in packages which are included in slack for other distros...

does this mean that slackware is vulnerable to these issues or not?

thanks...

As far as I know all these issues were taken care of after Pat recovered, just check the changelogs.

For Slackware 10.0 Pat authorised the GUS-BR group's patches. There's a link the these patches on http://www.slackware.com. In Slackware 10.1 and current the issues are all fixed.

WARNING: Do NOT install their samba patch. It breaks your config file, giving you errors about the "interfaces" config line. I looked it up and created one, but it didn't work. Reverting to the 10.0 official patch, 3.0.5-i486-3, fixed it.
