about gnucash, this program still uses a lot of dependencies and is difficult to set up (although not impossible) on slackware. there's a tutorial at rjmarq.org
So until the programmer(s) of gnucash get their act together and fix dependency problems, it really can't be considered for inclusion with the distribution.
