slackware pendrive install hangs at kernel_thread_helper+0x6/0x10


Hi

I have made an pendrive with slackware and used the huge.s as indicated during the boot on /dev/sda1 for the pendrive, shall work; but it hangs displaying lot of lines ending with :
...
kernel_init+0X87/0xdb
kernel_thread_helper+0x6/0x10

Usually it "just works". Can you try installing from another device (I'm wondering if the problem is specific to your hardware)? Have you verified (by md5sum for example) the boot files on the pendrive (I'm wondering if they are not as they should be)?
