Slackware packages comparison?

Does anyone know of a tool to compare the packages installed with the official Slackware ones?

I want to find what packages I have installed myself so I can keep track of them and update them as necessary.

Regards,

Greg

If you install slackpkg from extra, there is an option to remove all the software which isn't part of the slackware install. It will prompt you whether to uninstall all those non slackware packages and list them all. So that's one way. Make sure you pick a good mirror.

Also, you might consider upgrading to the latest version of slackpkg -- see http://slackpkg.org for version 2.52. There were lots of bugs fixed from 2.09. In fact, there have been several more bugs fixed since then, and PiterPunk said that he is planning to release version 2.60 today, so you might hold off until it releases.

Note that you might want to blacklist the slackpkg package in slackpkg's own config file; otherwise, it will try to downgrade itself to the version on the 11.0 mirror.
