Slackware encrypt partition


When I trying to encrypt my disk partition

losetup -e aes-256 /dev/loop0 /dev/sda7
password:

it says:
ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Invalid argument

what i need to fix this?

P.S. my distro Slackware 13.1

why don't you just use luks:

cryptsetup -s 256 -y luksFormat /dev/sda7

according to:

Have you loaded the cryptoloop module?

# modprobe cryptoloop
