Trying to upgrade the 32bit of openssl-solibs, I get this:
Code:
No such file 'openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc'.
ERROR - Package not installed! md5sum error!
Searching for NEW configuration files
No .new files found.
==============================================================================
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
==============================================================================
One or more errors occurred while slackpkg was running:
openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc: md5sum
openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc: md5sum
openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc: md5sum
==============================================================================
Tried many mirrors and the fact is that there is no openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc to verify the md5 checksum. I've verified this also by visiting more mirrors with a browser.
FYI the Slackware64-current openssl-solibs updated correctly.
Same problem here on current 32bit.
However, when I download openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz
manually, and run "gpg --verify" on openssl-solibs-1.0.2m-i586-1.txz.asc (both downloaded from osuosl http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/slackware/...t/slackware/a/
gpg says "Good signature"...
Strangely, osuosl.org/pub/slackware is no longer listed in /etc/slackpkg/mirrors....
Is that a mistake or on purpose?
EDIT:
OK, in the spirit of self-reliance and impatience, I went ahead and added http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/slackware/slackware-current/
to /etc/slackpkg/mirrors
then ran slackpkg update, then slackpkg upgrade-all, and went ahead.
It worked.
I had also tried a few different mirrors before adding osuosl to the mirrors file.
Something weird is afoot to be sure. I just hope we'll get an answer as to what.
$ host ftp.slackware.com
ftp.slackware.com has address 140.211.166.134
$ host 140.211.166.134
134.166.211.140.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer ftp-osl.osuosl.org.
So what? Also ftp.slackware.com is not listed among the slackpkg mirrors
FYI I used to use the osuosl.org mirror, but with the latest slackpkg update, it was removed.

probably it has been removed because it's actually the primary mirror and it's recommended to pull from secondary mirrors to avoid overloading the primary.
since a looong time, if you try to use its rsync this threatening banner is served

This host is the home to the primary archives of several
projects. We would prefer that only primary/secondary
mirrors use this service. Thanks!
