Question Slackware(64) 14.2 - Documents to Voice with Speech Synths?

Hi there, is me again XD, Well i am looking for software like "Festival", but i don't found in SlackBuilds for 14.2. well i found an alternative called "eSpeak"

Well i had compile and well right now i am downloading a gui for try to compile it for use it

http://www.muflone.com/gespeaker/eng..._name:Tab_v086

The thing is i want a tool of this, for select text from a Document (text, pdf, LibreOffice compatible) or directly a complete file to start the speech.

Someone know if exist an external tool for make that ? or if someone have a script for use with a Keyboard shortcut for launch the script with select text or selected file ?

I have tested Gespeaker to assess its inclusion in Slint, however it's not (yet?) compatible with espeak-ng that I provide instead of espeak and not (yet?) ported to python3, so I will wait.

In Slint we have several applications that can do what you want, see https://slackware.uk/slint/x86_64/sl...ty/SlintSpeaks

Other than that Firefox can speak aloud a text in Reader view, using espeak among others, cf.: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...free-web-pages
