Overall I am pleased. Minor issues not being able to use the proprietary NVIDIA driver, but it seems that nvidia nouveau driver seems to be working so I'll give it a chance this time.
Also it is my fault for not keeping up with the changelogs recently, I just don't know how I feel yet about pulseaudio......Other than that my only complaint is that, well there is really nothing to complain about .
And the changelog has started moving for the next version:

Slackware 14.2 x86_64 stable is released!
Does anyone know PV's thinking behind the release numbering?
After all... Over two-and-a-half years' development, with countless upgrades and a new kernel version (4 instead of 3), etc.. ...And yet rather than Slackware 15.0 (or 16.BobDobbs or whatever), he adds a niggardly increment of 0.1?
Why, it's almost perverse...

As I posted in another thread, there weren't really any major changes with this Slackware release. Yes, we had a ton of package updates, but really, the only major change was the switch to pulseaudio. Most everything else was version bumps (and a lot of them). And the kernel going from 3.x to 4.x isn't really anything to write home about. Even from 2.6 to 3.x was a minor change (not nearly as drastic as 2.4 to 2.6), with probably the biggest issue running into programs who had the kernel release hardcoded to support 2.6.x, so they ran into issues with 3.x. The kernel developers (possibly just Linus) decided they didn't want massive version numbers like the 2.6 series, so they decided to change the kernel version without having a serious change in the kernel. Linus himself stated the the 4.0 kernel was essentially the 3.20 kernel.
To give more insight into Slackware versions: Slackware 12 saw the move to the 2.6 kernel, Slackware 13 saw the official 64bit version, and Slackware 14 saw KDE4. All of these were pretty major and were pretty big deals within the community. With 14.2, we really only saw pulseaudio. Slackware 15 will likely see Plasma5 (KDE5), and who knows what other changes (possibly more related to systemd... hopefully to avoid it).
In the link astrogeek provided, I know Pat said there's no rhyme or reason behind his versioning numbers, but I feel that is just in jest. He knows exactly what he's doing, and, personally, I think he felt that this release wasn't big enough to bump the main number (and if that is what he felt, obviously, I totally agree with him).
A bit late, but was on vacation in the middle of nowhere...
Gratz to the team! I'll upgrade fairly soon I guess... am trying out to get some packages working on 14.2 with aliens kde5 (digikam one of them); or will just upgrade without kde5 (but actually do happen to like the look and feel; besides; I managed to run that on a measly 300mb of ram! It's really not a big mem eater if you compare it with other tings like that thingey from redmond.)
i'm working for digikam5 SlackBuild
it's working fine here, but probably not going into SBo for meantime since it relied heavily on KDE Framework 5. I will push it into my SlackHacks repository soon. Still have to sort some issue i found
I moved to Mint on my workstations a couple of years ago because I needed too much software not available in the default Slackware packages (and the dependencies from slackbuilds.org killed me) but I am still very happily running Slackware on my servers.
Seems like with every release Patrick and the team test our faith to see if we give up on them, no exception this time - more than 2 years!
Thanks guys for all your hard work! I'll be ordering at least the DVD for sure.
Thanks Mr V. and all involved, for another fine Slackware release. Took some time for me to get a handle on PulseAudio, but I got it sorted. Plus improved access for my digital camera, I like that. All good.
Wow, thank you Pat & all the team. Been offline since I got into OnePlus Phone except to use fastboot & ADB, after getting stuck installing multiple OSs on different HDDs. happy to see 14.2-64, 14.3 ???too. Have to goto Slackware Store this time 😉 Don't look forward to re-installing my Android Tools since by now I forgot how I did it??? Lol How do u do it Pat?
I did a fresh install on my laptop of 64-bit 14.2 and it's terrific. Thanks to the move to pulseaudio, my Bluetooth headphones now work flawlessly. It took a bit of tinkering to figure out what to do to get them to work but they work now. A big thanks to everyone from Pat on down who did all of this work. I greatly appreciate it. Now to upgrade my BBS server from 14.1 to 14.2...a little nervous about that but that should go fine.
I show off my laptop to people who say Linux isn't friendly and can't do what they want it to. Granted, I am not a power user as much as I used to be, but for my daily needs, I'm happy to be using Slackware. I directly support Windows 7 and Windows 10 at work and when I get to use my laptop, it's like a breath of fresh air.
Again, thank you to everyone who was involved for their hard work.
