I cannot wait. I upgraded to 13.1, but now I am planning a clean install, with the intention of making the new system even more stable and better documented. This time I really want to keep track of ALL the changes I inflict to the stock configuration files in /etc, anyone knows of good way to do that? I was thinking git, but may be it's overkill. I guess, I could simply make a list of files I changed...

not at all

I think it's pretty common to use it on /etc, at least it is between my sysadm fellas down here

Let me add big a thanks to the Slackware team for a new release.

On a issue much to the side--I sent the info below to info@slackware.com,
but the mail server bounced my IP address as a spammer-- OK, I'm not a
spammer--I've never even been to Hawaii ;-) The ISP is cox.east--I'm just
sitting here at the end of a cable modem... Anyway, using the evidently
offending IP address, this is what I sent:

How do you think that Slackware.com or PV should control someone Else's content? You might think about contacting the webadmin at the site in question.
