Hello people,
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? I have done a fresh install of Slackware 12.2 onto my Dell Dimension4500 which uses the above mentioned AGP card. Every version of Slack that I have installed before on this box has not had this issue before this version.In my xorg.conf, my default resolution has always been 1280 x 1024 24bit. However now after I do xorgconfig I end up with a default of 1024 x 768 24bit.

Is there a patch for this or rewritten driver? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

You can try running without an xorg.conf at all first. If that doesn't work, try xorgsetup instead, it's a little easier. At the worst you will have to edit your xorg.conf and add a mode line.

Running xorgsetup worked perfectly thanks. I had to logout as user and login as root in order for it to work.

Yes, you have to run xorgsetup as root, but you are not running as root normally, right? Right?
