Dark sometimes the PS/2 KB can lock up on lappys. You can go into BIOS and turn off legacy usb support and see if that works until you troubleshoot the rest of problems with setup. An older lappy may have a twitchy BIOS so noacpi may be needed,using apm instead. IF your lappy or pc is more recent then probably not a problem. Follow finley suggestion otherwise.
If you go to the SW10.2 (any mirror) dl site look under 10.2 /testing/kernel for 2.6.13 kernel .config file.Good luck
I discovered,that may new kernel 2.6.13 do not work (keyboard problem) after executing rc.hotplug at boot time.
It's interesting,that if I run it (rc.hotplug) form shell my keyboard don't stuck.I use this manual for compiling kernel http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Slackware_10_1
