Slackware 10.1 problem with xorg

Hi all,

I'm curently in windows and I very tired so Im going to bed. But I have a problem with Xorg. I just installed slackware 10.1 and when I start X, the mouse and keyboard do not respond. I didn't change the xorg.conf yet, but I have no error in the log except an error about an inet6 socket.

Anyone has seen this problem and has a solution for this problem ? I will post the xorg.conf and the log tomorrow if needed 'cause right now, I'm begining to see double

I have an AMD Athlon XP 1600+ with GeForce3 TI 200. Motherboard is Msi KT4V.

Thank you
MadCoder

I suggest that you run xorgconfig again, different version's xorg.conf files are different.

Problem solved!

The problem was the mouse. In the configuration file, it was a ps/2 and I have a usb. And my usb modules wasnt loaded. I configured properly the mouse, pointing at /dev/input/mouse, and loaded the modules and now, everything is working fine. I wonder why the keyboard didn't respond tho cause he was properly configured.

I searched a lot about this inet6 socket error and a problem with NVidia drivers that I forgot to look at the basic hehe. And I was very tired last night so this morning, with a fresh new day, I found the problem.

Thx for your help guys
Madcoder

Glad to hear you solved it. The inet6 isn't actually a error but a warning (X works perfect without it).
