Here's something interesting I just saw and I don't know why it happens:

I've seen some earlier threads about the slackpkg thing where during updates it throws up a bunch of grep errors about broken pipes, but I'd never seen it happen until last night. I was running dvtm and did a su - to run slackpkg, and sure enough, there were a bunch of broken pipe warnings. I assume that the upgrade happened, because firefox is updated, but I wonder why it happens.

I don't remember seeing it on tmux, but next time there's an update, I'll have to check that, too.

But I do know that it doesn't happen at all from a straight terminal or tty.

Doesn't seem to be more than a cosmetic problem, but I was curious.

Just an update, tmux does not exhibit the same behavior, so apparently there's something broken somewhere in dvtm. Maybe I'll tear it apart and look at it sometime.
