slackel install usb will not boot.

Hi

I have tried many times now using different usb drives to install 'slackellive-openbox-7.4.iso' and also 'slackellive-fluxbox-1.0-64.iso'.

I have used linux-mx live usb maker which previously I have used to install many linux systems including 'slackware64-14.2-install-dvd.iso' without any problems.

But with slackel I find on attempted boot the usb drive does not show in bios.

Any suggestion please.

Thank you

percy

Hi

I have made several attempts to register with salixos.

I have not received an activation email so cannot proceed any further with salixos.

laprjns and _peter thanks for your input on this.

I will leave this thread open just in case there are any more suggestions forthcoming.

Slackel is partly salix-based but there's a dedicated slackel forum that might be worth visiting: http://www.slackel.gr/forum/

As mentioned by _peter, an alternative might be AlienBob's Liveslak, based on Slackware-current and thus more up to date than Slackel-7.4

I have solved the problem my system is ufi boot and I was trying boot with slackellive-openbox-7.4.iso instead of slackellive64-openbox-7.4.iso

So should be OK now.

Thanks for your input on this.

I'm wondering if you looked into your spam email folder for the activation email.

I did check there was no activation reply, but for now the issue is solved.

At the bottom of the registration page.

Did you send an email?

I have no need to be concerned about registering at the moment #7

If I have any more questions I will try again.

Thank you for your input.

For what it's worth, you never received a registration confirmation on the Salix forums because you provided a wrong email address. The one you provided was @yahool.com. Notice the extra "l".
