Slack won't boot

I have installed Slackware from a partition on my HD contaning all the software-sets, so it's not the iso version. I booted with the boot-disk, made a Linux partition with cfdisk, and setup all correctly in the setup program. The installation progress seemed to work fine.

But when I then rebooted the system, Slackware wouldn't run.
I just saw the "PRESS A KEY TO REBOOT" message that always appears when no OS is installed.

Later, I tried to install it again. Now I choosed to have LILO on a floppy disk. When I booted with the disk, LILO started and I could choose to run Linux or DOS. When I choose Linux, all I get is a black screen and the system freeses.

What's wrong?

Try putting LILO on the MBR maybe then you won't have problems?

Yeah, Ive had that problem before, just reinstall LILO to MBR like astro says, and if that doesnt work, just reinstall slack and make sure to put add it to MBR that time...

Until you get that fixed you can always boot from the slackware cd. It explains it at the beginning
