The instructions there are pretty straight-forward, and will certainly work on a Slackware machine (as long as the build environment is sane, kernel source installed, etc).
I would suggest you try it and then report back here if there is a specific issue or error you are having.
well, I compiled the driver. The result is that it didn't work. But I don't know if the problem was the compile or the driver. Now, I didn't compile the DRI section. So I will re-compile the DRI section.
I have downloaded the patch from the link on the above page and I run the patch command and I get this?

I also have a problem with my system crashing when I am watching a video on youtube. Is this an artifact of not having the right video driver or a separate issue all together?
