Sepatate panels for dual monitor

I recently installed Slackware 12 and setup dual monitors, however i have not been able to setup a separate panel fore the secondary screen. I want to have any program that is running on the second screen show up only in the bottom panel for that screen. This was very easy to do under GNOME on my ubuntu install however i can't find a way to do it in KDE.

Well i figured it out, all you do is add an external task bar to the second monitor and then uncheck the box in the control center that says "show windows from all monitors."

While I'm here though I'd like to ask if anyone else has a problem using the text field in theses forums? Whenever i type the cursor will move along fine but when i stop it jumps back a space. It doesn't make it unusable but it's really annoying. Also I seem to have some other rendering issues in firefox. None of the problems persist when using Konquerer though. Any ideas?
