Samba win network


I want to print from linux at school. Their is a win2k server and all the other students are running windows. I don't know that much about samba but i am sure that i need it to solve this problem.

My linux distro is Slackware 9.0

Cool No need to use Samba to print to windoze

If your printing to an HP sometimes you can go directly to
the machine through it's IP and the Jetdirect drivers.
If not you can set the machine up using the Windows
driver. I know it says SMB but you do not need SMB running
on your machine. Now if you want to make the Linux box
the print server then you want to set up SMB.
