Samba printing

I have successfully setup samba, however I'm having trouble printing from my xp box to my slack box. I am able to print from the slack box using cups. I uninstalled the lprng package because I read that it and cups don't get a long. Looking at some of the docs online, I find that samba uses lp to print. Do i need lprng back to print from xp to slack using samba even tho my slack box uses cups to print, and if so where can i read on this? Thanx for any help.

The more efficient way to print to Slackware from XP, is to use lpr on the XP box. Use the Local Printer option on XP to setup a generic TCP/IP lpr port.
