Resume after Suspend-to-RAM broken after -current update

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue that started after suspending-to-RAM my machine on 22nd of Sept: it no longer resumes. When pressing a key there is no visible/audible hardware reaction, pressing the ON switch will perform a cold boot. BIOS settings are unchanged.

Since then I have put in a new PSU (suspiciously the old one died with an issue in the 5V standby circuit). The resume issue persists.

One thing I did on the 22nd when the issue started, I upgraded the following packages from -current (according to /var/lib/pkgtools/packages). Is there any package in there that could have caused the issue?

Code:

update: I have experimented with an older kernel as well, that is confirmed to be working before the 22nd, but still no success

5v happens to be close related to standby, just noting.

No issues here, updated as of: Sat Sep 29 20:01:29 UTC 2018

NOTE: I am using on a laptop and this is after closing the lid, letting it completely settle and opening the lid again.

Just to give this issue some closure: my current thinking is that the issue was hardware related and that I was unlucky not with one, but with two power supply units.

Is the issue fixed now?

If not, some things that may help to troubleshoot and/or fix it:

Turning off extra cores:

echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/online

(Turn them back on again with 'echo 1')

If using one of the pm-* scripts, try issuing the command directly to the
kernel:

echo -n mem > /sys/power/state

Turn off any daemons/services that may be running first - I have had prolems
with pulseaudio in the past and added /etc/rc.d/rc.pulseaudio stop to my
suspend and hibernate scripts.

You can also try unloading modules to see if it helps too, and perhaps try
turning off networking too.

Hope this helps
