Talking Restoring Slackware 14.1 permissions?

Hello

Is there a simple script to restore default permissions of 14.1? or a script to compare against MANIFEST file, as security feature? or another way around?

Testing Slackware Live, i did # chown -R user:user, and to repair it i did # chown -R root:root on my HD installation!

Everything seems to be working, but i would like to be sure or re-install.

Thank you for your attention.

Ouch. This is the sort of thing I am constantly afraid of doing by accident. I feel your pain. My only idea is to install slackware in a VM and inspect the files. That is probably an over complicated way so hopefully someone else will reply with a better solution.
