Removing gnome panels from Slackware 15.0

How do I go about removing extra Gnome panels from Slackware 15.0 (my operating system)?

Slackware doesn’t include gnome or the gnome-panel package. Can you be more specific in what you want to remove, and if it’s a standard Slackware install?

I'm talking about the bar-like section that's usually at the bottom of the display area (whatever it's called) where you can put applications so that you have easy assess to them.

If I right-click on it, I see an option to add panels, but not to delete pannels.

Never mind. I just now figured out how to do it.

I have to right-click on the panel after I enter EDIT mode, then I see the "Remove panel" option.

Sounds like you’re using XFCE, in which case, there is also a “settings” menu location where panels can be edited and even added or removed. As well as right clicking on them to change their properties, which seems to be the solution you have found.
