Radeon drivers problem on nForce mobo

I'm having problems getting the ATI binary drivers to work in Slackware 10. I converted the rpm to tgz and installed. Then I ran make.sh and make_install.sh (both showed no errors). Then I ran the fglrxconfig and renamed the file it makes to xorg.conf in /etc/X11. The fglrx module loads fine, but when I run fglrxinfo it still shows:
Quote:
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www-mesa3d-org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.4 Mesa 5.0.2)
From reading other threads it seems I need to load the 'nvidia-agp' module as I have an nForce2 motherboard. But when I try to load the module with 'modprobe nvidia-agp' it says it can't locate the module. Doing a 'locate nvidia-agp' shows:
Quote:
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/nvidia-agp.c
/lib/modules/fglrx/build_mod/nvidia-agp.o
I'm running kernel version 2.4.26.

In your xorg.conf

Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no"

and its nvidia_agp which is auto loaded with agpgart as far as i'm aware

agpgart 27816 2 nvidia_agp

It works now! Just as I was about to give up for the day, I did one final reboot and it works great now. Thanks a lot for your help!

P.S. I'm also from Yorkshire!
