Yes, notes on how to configure Pine(Alpine) can be found here:

It doesn't seem to be very flexible, though. Thanks anyway.

Ok, i have managed to configure alpine as it should be. Now, when i start it i get a:

HOST: pop3.rdslink.ro (INSECURE) USER: user@pop3.rdslink.ro ENTER PASSWORD:

And when i enter the password, i get this message:

POP3 connection broken in response.

Though, i can send mail, through smtp, but here is another problem, as, instead of sending from pop3user@rdslink.ro is sends from slackwareuser@rdslink.ro. Of course, above, the names: user==pop3user and aside slackwareuser, all this names are fictive.

Any suggestion to resolve these problems? Did you encountered a similar problem - i mean the 'connection broken' mainly and secondly the 'wrong user name when sending' problem.

Thanks.
