Pepperflash plugin not working in Chromium

Good evening dear slackers,

i have some problems with my pepperflash plugin installation. I used the 64-bit slackbuild by AlienBob from http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slac...in/pkg64/14.1/ to install the flasplayer plugin.
It seems that the relevant files are stored in
Code:
/etc/chromium/pepperflash-plugin.conf
and in
Code:
/usr/lib64/chromium/PepperFlash/
Nevertheless chromium seems to not recognize this plugin and flash videos still do not load.
In an older forum post i found that in older package versions the configuration of the plugin was done in:
Code:
/etc/default/chromium
So i tried dumping the contents of pepperflash-plugin.conf in the chromium file mentioned above (Which i had to create). Sadly this approach did not help much.
I hope that somebody can point me into the right direction!

Kind regards

Are you using Alien Bob's chromium package as well and are both up-to-date? He enables pepperflash within the build.

No i am using the chromium build provided on slackbuilds.org found on http://slackbuilds.org/repository/14...work/chromium/. So i also need to use Alien Bobs slackbuild? Or is there a way to configure chromium to use the plugin anyways?

I would advise against using the package from SBo. It is horribly outdated compared to Eric's (v31.0.1650.57 on SBo vs v43.0.2357.81 from Eric). But if you do want to use SBo's, you might be able to enable it by editing the slackbuild to include -Denable_pepper_cdms=1 under the build/gyp_chromium -f make build/all.gyp --depth=. \ line and recompiling.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I will definitely consider Alien Bobs Slackbuild over the old one!

My plugin packages (pepperflash as well as widevine ) work ONLY with my own chromium package.
Don't try the SBo version, it should be removed there.
