no, andrew.46 is not french, and in SFS LANG is not french. I saw the same message earlier, and I knew it wouldn't go further.
It failed at 33 mn.

I think you made a mistake, your patch should be:
Code:
# jumbo patch
cd qtwebengine
bzcat $CWD/patches/qtwebengine-5.15.2_p20211019-jumbo-build.patch.bz2 | patch -p1 --verbose || exit 1
cd - 1>/dev/null
instead of:
Code:
# jumbo patch
cd qtwebengine
zcat $CWD/patches/qtwebengine-5.15.2_p20211019-jumbo-build.patch.gz | patch -p1 --verbose || exit 1
cd - 1>/dev/null
as you provide a bz2 patch

Yep, my bad
I re-gzip the file after downloading it
Code:
$ ls -c1
qtwebengine-5.15.2_p20211019-jumbo-build.patch.gz
qt5-qtbase-gcc11.patch.gz
qt5-qtwebengine-gcc11.patch.gz
qt5-qtwebsockets-gcc11.patch.gz
qt5.mysql.h.diff.gz
qt5.qtbase_cmake_isystem_includes.patch.gz
Anyway, that doesn't solve the issue ...

several mistakes in the qt5.SlackBuild if you want to catch the errors while patching you need this:
Code:
# Fix build with gcc11:
cd qtbase
zcat $CWD/patches/qt5-qtbase-gcc11.patch.gz | patch -p1 --verbose || exit 1
cd ..
cd qtwebsockets
zcat $CWD/patches/qt5-qtwebsockets-gcc11.patch.gz | patch -p1 --verbose || exit 1
cd ..
cd qtwebengine
zcat $CWD/patches/qt5-qtwebengine-gcc11.patch.gz | patch -p1 --verbose || exit 1
cd ..
# jumbo patch
cd qtwebengine
zcat $CWD/patches/qtwebengine-5.15.2_p20211019-jumbo-build.patch.gz | patch -Esp1 --verbose || exit 1
cd ..
# CMake generates wrong -isystem /usr/include compilations flags with Qt5::Gui
# and for it breaks KWin compilation with:
# /usr/include/c++/9.1.0/cstdlib:75:15: fatal error: stdlib.h: No such file or directory
# See also https://bugzilla.redhat.com/1704474
cd qtbase
zcat $CWD/patches/qt5.qtbase_cmake_isystem_includes.patch.gz | patch -Esp1 --verbose || exit 1
cd ..
in the original qt5.SlackBuild every line of the script with patch don't catch any errors because of:

Rep:
The "cd - 1>/dev/null" should not hide errors from the patch command which is on a separate line of the bash script.
All that this line does is hide the output from the "cd -" command which writes the name of the directory to STDOUT to which it changes.
What behavior did you encounter?

with what provided marav at first , it didn't caught the error, it went on.
I did this to catch the errors:
Code:
time ./*.Sl* 2>&1 | tee build.log
and looked at build.log.
