got a date, and exact time????
I'm certainly nowhere near "guru" status. But I did try to take a fun stab at when 14.2 would be released based on the timeline of 14.1's "almost beta" announcement.

Unfortunately, we already surpassed all dates I had speculated, including my guessed release date of 12 FEB. Hopefully RC1 will come out soon, because I'm itching to upgrade my desktop/server, but I try to stick to the more stable (as in minimal software versions fluctuating, as those require rebuilding of a good chunk of my 3rd-party packages) for that machine. My htpc is chugging along happily on -current (I only need to rebuild around a dozen packages if there's significant lib changes). That being said, I have no problem waiting until Pat deems it ready. He hasn't failed me yet in over a decade.

But, if the previous timeline from first RC to release ends up being similar, once RC1 is announced, we may see a release around 3 weeks afterwards (there were 3 RCs with a 1 week gap between them). But either way, we're certainly getting close
