No internet

Hello,

Firstly i want to sorry about my english.. It is bad

But i hope you will understand what i am trying to say

So, My problem:

After kernel update on Slackware 10.0(old kernel: 2.4.26) to 2.6.9 I can't browse throught websites.. I can ping hostnames and i receive answer so it's like i have internet.
Sometimes browser loads google, but nothing more. Then i tried lynx and it looks like it loads sites, but quite to slow
I even can't imagine where the problem is so maybe anybody can help me? Thanks.

P.S. I connect to internet throught gateway. And earlier(before kernel update) everything worked fine, except IRC(on Knoppix it works fine).

you might try rerunning netconfig
or check you /etc/resolv.conf and see if you dns server is listed there

I heard that the 2.6 kernel has some problems with many routers and modems as it had the ip6 turned on by default. Google and check whether this is your problem. You have to get a patch for this to be resolved...

Hope this is correct.
