New monitor, and icm profile

Since I got my new flat screen monitor(lcd), I am wondering how can I utilize the color profile (.icm file) that is included on the driver disc. I mean so far everything looks ok, and I have been a bit lazy, in not inputting new hsync and vsync parameters as well as the proper refresh rates yet, but I do plan on doing that, but I would also like to know if there is anyway that I can utilize the .icm file under xwindows?

This got me thinking as I remember seeing one of these files (*.icm) for a Dell FP monitor I have. Admittedly I never gave it much thought and didn't even know what the file was !

Anyway this got me looking around and I found this which may be relevant :http://linux.vilars.com/dotclear/ind...or-calibration

Seems to have something to do with loading icc/icm files with X.
