New mirror update... decisions, decisions.

I've been on -current so long that it was a surprise to see the new mirror update.

14.2 gone, 15 is stable, and Slackware64 is the new dev branch.

I used to think I'd just jump onto 15 stable, but now I'm so used tracking -current, I just uncommented the new dev branch instead.

I may switch one other device to stable, but aside from the rare bump, I kinda want to stay on dev.

It's in-active.

I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but I believe the 15.0 listings in slackpkg/mirrors are "pending" only. Current is still being used

Have not tried it, just saw the Changelog and then checked the contents of the new mirror

It was strictly in preparation for the upcoming release. This will prevent people from accidentally downgrading their -current install to 14.2. Once 15.0 is released, people are able to simply change the mirror file from -current to 15.0 and then they'll be on the stable release. For the people who want to stay on -current, no change would be needed.

Once 15.0 is released, you'll see the following on the ChangeLog, with more details below it:
