I have installed SimpleScreenRecorder at prefix /usr/local. I also have my codecs stored at /usr/local/lib64/. SimpleScreenRecorder complains that it can't find a bunch of codecs that are actually at /usr/local/lib64. How do I tell SimpleScreenRecorder that they are in /usr/local/lib64, as opposed to wherever the default location?

I tried googling high and low, but the best I get is just people saying to install the codecs. They are already installed. Just in non-default locations. How do I do this?

Have you tried the SlackBuild? I've never encountered an issue with codecs when running it that way (14.2 and current).

SimpleScreenRecorder links against ffmpeg, so I suspect you need to rebuild ffmpeg to link against all your extra codecs.
