Question Moving window manager settings to a new account

I set up my window manager the way I like it, but forgot that I was on my root account. Is there a way to move my settings to my regular user account without having to set it up all over again? if it's helpful, I'm on Slackware 14.1 using KDE

Thank you.

It should just require moving the .kde from root's home directory (/root) to your user's home directory (/home/username) and then changing the ownership recursively to your username and the group users.

Code:
mv /root/.kde /home/username/
chown -R username:users /home/username/.kde

For some reason, it didn't work, but thank you for your suggestion anyway. I went and did it the hard way, so I'm marking this as solved.
