mouse problem

Hi there,

I'm not sure if it's slackware (or even linux) related. I use a wifi mouse. Most of the time everything is fine. I reboot my computer and load Slackware64-current but every now and then (1 in 10 reboots) the mouse is non responsive at all when I start X. I try to restart X or rmmod psmouse & modprobe psmouse with no avail.

What I usually do is to reboot the computer and everything is fine. Can you recommend any other course of action? What could I try instead?

Thank you

On my box (Lenovo Thinkpad T61) the module for the mouse is usbhid, not psmouse.

Thus I suggest you rmmod & modprobe usbhid instead.

EDIT Maybe your configuration is different as my mouse is wired on an USB port.

Anyway you system won't be at risk if you try

Thanks Didier.

Silly me. I located the right module and reloaded it. It my case it was hid_logitech_dj. It works.
