Mouse

I have installed slackware before and my mouse worked. it is a USB HP optical mouse with three buttons. like i said before, it worked before i had to reformat my Hardrive. i reinstalled slack and my mouse wont work. i configured xf86config and set it as AUTO. the laser is on and when i move the mouse the laser lights up like it is responding to activity but nothing is happing on the screen. If anyone cna help that would be great.

well you might have configured it wrong

go to a command line and type

mouseconfig

and change it to an appropriate mouse

hope it works
