mounting CD rom as user


trying 2 mount CD rom as user
i edited my /etc/fstab

/dev/hda2 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro,robert 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,robert 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0


says need to be root to beable to mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

any ideas why it still insits i be root?

heh, you can't just add your username to fstab, "robert" is not a valid mount option! change that to "user" and you should be fine.
