I try to respond to every MLED-related message in this thread, but this one has me puzzled. Let's just take things one at a time.

Do you mean that the set of tagfiles is wrong somewhere? I don't think so, and there's an easy way to test this. After a tagfile installation, use the trim_desktop_$DESKTOP.sh script in the corresponding tools/ subdirectory of your desktop. If it doesn't remove or install anything, then it works. This has been tested extensively.

Alsa is not part of MLED, but of Slackware. I can't help you on that.

No, you don't have to add a user to the system to be able to use VirtualBox. You have to add the "vboxusers" group.
Judging from the general lack of precision - if not to say downright impressionism - of your post - I think you'd be better off with a distribution like openSUSE. And don't get me wrong, openSUSE works fine. At least, this is what I recommend to technically unskilled users.
Do you know where the icon images are saved? I'm playing around with fluxbox and the lxpanel and am looking for the icon you have for the xfce desktop to add for the lxpanel.

Icons are either stored under /usr/share/icons or /usr/share/pixmaps.
From the install instructions for 64-bit with XFCE...

SELECT DEFAULT WINDOW MANAGER FOR X: xinitrc.wmaker or xinitrc.fluxbox. This
choice is only temporary. I usually choose one of the more lightweight window
managers like WindowMaker or Fluxbox to configure X.
My question, since I am able to choose XFCE (first choice).
Will it cause any problems? (Even if I think not, I thought I'd ask )
Guess this Q is for kikinovak...

No, it won't cause any problems. It's just a personal preference: for fiddling with X11 configuration, I prefer a lightweight window manager. Once everything displays correctly, I switch to KDE or Xfce.
