[SOLVED] Mime type error opening dolphin and other kde 4.4 applications

Hi everyone, I did a clean installation of KDE 4.4 Alien bob`s packages and when I open the dolphin, for example, appears this error:

Could not find mime type "application/octet-stream"

Could not find mime types:
"inode/directory"
"inode/blockdevice"
...
...

The icons and directories are all on blank...

any idea?

for some reason, when installing slackware was not installed package shared-mime-info. I installed it and problem solved.

I had the same issue, but it was appearing everywhere, kde, gnome, etc. The problem was that I've accidentaly deleted shared mime types from the system...

The general symptom was the message "Gtk-WARNING **: Could not load image".
So, reinstalling shared-mime-info worked for me!
