Hello all, I have come to a bit of a sticking point and man pages and howtos are not really helping.
I am trying to configure lilo to recognize a dual boot situation where Slack is on a properly configured LVM
in the README I am confronted with this configuration:
Code:
image = /boot/vmlinuz-generic-smp-2.6.37.6-smp
initrd = /boot/initrd.gz
root = /dev/myvg/root
label = linux
read-only
because it is necessary to use a kernel that is smaller than huge.s However whenever I try to use the "generic" kernel I recieve a file does not exist error. Furthermore, if I just use image = /boot/vmlinuz I get the memory hole error.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thank you.
EDIT: I may be a horses ass... sorry, think I had a syntax error. Will report back
EDIT 2: image = /boot/vmlinuz-generic-2.6.37.6 was correct string
