lilo

i thought lilo configured boot delay and what not. since I'm not doing a dual boot. I see no need for lilo to have me select my OS, via [tab], nor do I think its necessary to have the 2 minute delay timer on. My lilo.conf looks like this.

#start LILO global section

append=" vt.default_utf8=0"
boot = /dev/sda
bitmap = /boot/slack.bmp
bmp-colors = 255,0,255,0,255,0
bmp-table = 60,6,1,16
bmp-timer = 65,27,0,255
timeout = 0 <<I modified this line it used to say 1200
change-rules
reset
vga= 773

***not I shortened the list here in my lilo config for ease of typing but it shows the basics.

Thats about it, I thought for sure timeout =0 would remove the 2 minute delay while I watched the timer on boot splash screen.. but it didnt,,,

All help is appreciated
Thanks in advance
