kompile question


hi i have kompiled kernel but if i want to keep settings
on the kernel but just change 1 thing should i just type xconfig
or will i lose my current setup??

Usually when compiling the kernel, after going thru xconfig, you will be prompted to save your configuration, unless you pull up this previous configuration, you will have to reconfigure everything like you did before.
