i im a noob in linux , i have slackware 10.0 , recently i bought a wireless card but slackware doesnt install it by itself. i read a little bit on internet and someone say thet the driver are enable on kernel 2.4 i have 2.2.26 so i think i must update kernel , but its chinesse for me can ne1 help plz
slackware 10.0 ships with 2.4.26, not 2.2.26. I would be quite sure there is no trace of 2.2 branc in slack 10 whatsoever, even though is has been slow to update the kernels in general.
most cards can get support via ndiswrapper if there is no native support, but as you've decided not to tell us what the card is we can't say much more...
