I just wanted to know if i Download the 9.1 Kernel Source (kernel-source-2.4.22-noarch-3.tgz) for Slack 9.0. Will it be Running without probs & there will be no Compatibility Issues at all ?

I think you are talking about recompiling your kernel?

If you want to go from one kernel revision to another you will have to either patch the kernel, and then recompile it, or download the new source and then recompile it.

Is this what you mean?

Peace,
